Nominal Size, threads per inch and thread series. Example: for thread plug 3/8-16 UNC-2B for thread ring 3/8-16 UNC-2A.
Tolerance Class, (X or W).
Type of Gage: thread plug, ring or set plug.
Right or Left hand thread.
For plug gages under 1.510 specify reversible or taperlock.
Specify steel or hardchrome, Marking instructions–Tool No., Gage No., etc.
